BURNING QUESTIONS!!

CLOTH VS. DISPOSABLE??
I have had a burning question since one of my friends posted about using cloth diapers for her baby. I would love to know everyone's opinion about cloth vs. disposable. What do you think the pros and cons would be and would cloth diapers be worth using?????

Pedicure!!

Today my Mom and I went to get a pedicure it was 75 minutes at a spa!! It was really nice but we were a little disappointed. We thought it would be a really really good pedicure and better than the ones at the mall. Don't get me wrong it was good and very relaxing we just had our expectations pretty high and were let down. The girls doing them seemed like they hadn't given them very often, one actually told us that she was the masseuse and had never given a pedicure before. The other girl has given them before but not very often. Next time we get a pedicure we will go to the place we always go to that really does awesome pedicures. They scrub your feet and do your toenails and give a nice leg and foot massage and you sit in a massaging chair the whole time. It's only 30 mins. but it's only 25 dollars instead of 45 dollars and you get your moneys worth. My toes do look very cute but not my favorite. We did get to put our feet in the wax that made our feet nice and soft!

Before we headed to our appointment for the pedicures I had my mom reteach me how to crochet. I crocheted kitchen towels when i was in middle school and highschool but I got busy with school and friends and lazy and didn't keep doing it so I forgot. It did come back to me pretty easily. I am going to crochet a baby blanket and burp cloths, and then go from there!!
I will post a picture of my progress tomorrow!

TGIF

FRIDAY!!! I am so excited it's friday! It's been a long week. It's been a good, busy, fun, but long week.
I love having the weekends of I only have to work every 3rd saturday and every 6th sunday which is wonderful!!
Today was such a busy, crazy day at work. It seemed like there was a full moon out today. I wanted to go to school for pyschology because I like people watching, and analyzing people ect. So at the pharmacy we get all sorts of strange people calling in and coming in but I mean we all have our quirks right and I can't judge 'em they are probably having a bad day. Some days it seems worse than other days though, it's like we all have in our subconcious a migrating sensor or something like that. Cause it never fails we will be slow for hours and then all of a sudden everyone will show up at the same time, then we will have a rush and then it will die down.
Anyway, I am really excited for tomorrow! My mom and I are going to get a pedicure at a spa that will last for 75 minutes!! Ahhhh that will be so nice!! My feet need some attention. It's been a while since i've had a pedicure and I don't have any fingernail polish remover to get the last little bit of polish off my toes well it's only left on my big toes!

Fajitas!

I have a great husband! I worked a 10 hour shift today and when I got home I walked into my house and it smelled soooo good! My husband made fajitas for dinner!! They were really good! He marinates the meat in sprite, cooking oil and dry fajita mix for a day and fries it with peppers and onions. It tasted great! It was so nice getting home and having dinner all ready!
I've been really tired lately because yes I'm Pregnant!! I am really excited to have a baby! I am about 8 weeks along. We've had our first doctor's appointment and had an ultrasound. They usually don't have ultrasounds this early but I had had some spotting the day before and the doctor wanted to make sure we could hear the heart beat!
We heard the heart beat and it was such an amazing experience. I can't believe I have a baby growing inside of me. He printed us off a few pictures of our peanut (we've been calling it that because that is about how big it is and the guy doing the ultrasound kept calling it that). We've showed our parents and family the pictures and everyone is so excited that we are pregnant!!
I'm grateful my husband is willing to help out around the house and make dinner when i'm working long shifts. Right now I'm just experiencing nausea and being tired alot. My mom said I'm lucky because she was always horribly sick while she was pregnant and she had 5 kids.
I'm excited for this experience, a little nervous, but know things will work out and everything will be great!

It's been a good day!

Hey Everyone! This morning I woke up exhausted :( I slept great at least I thought i had. I got ready for work and started waking up a little bit, my husband just laughed at me cause he could tell I was still really sleepy. I ate breakfast and headed to work. By the time I got to work I was awake and felt better, which of course is good since I work in a pharmacy and need to be alert. We weren't very busy but we were busy enough. I got off a little early so I could go run some errands. I don't have a day off this week and really needed to go grocery shopping so my awesome co-worker came in a couple hours early so I could go home and run my errands! I've never liked grocery shopping cause I usually have worked in pharmacies that are in grocery stores and when I'm off I just want to go home and not walk around the store getting groceries. But to survive we need food right? So I go shopping and usually alone because when Jeb comes with me we spend alot more money than when I go alone. Tonight we went to dinner with my husbands parents it was a lot of fun and very yummy, we went to the Cracker Barrell.
Today at work we were talking about how funny it is when people call in (usually it's older customers) they will get mad at us and tell us to talk louder because they are on the speaker phone and their tv will be turned up full blast. Of course we also get calls from younger people who will have their radios blasting and they'll be yelling into the phone so that you can hear them. I don't understand why people don't just turn down the volume of their tv or radios when they make a phone call. I think it's really funny when i'll ask someone their what their birthday is and they will tell me their first name and then i'll say no I need your birth date and they will start saying their last name and then realize what I really asked for. I get a lot of strange and interesting phone calls working at the pharmacy. But it makes life fun!

Weekend fun!

I love not working on the weekends! My husband always has Saturday and Sunday off so we get to hang out! Saturday we slept in :), and got to be lazy and just watch tv for a few hours. Then we got to work and cleaned the house up, it needed it since we've both been sick for the past week and a half. We aired out the house and deep cleaned it and made is smell nice and pretty. :) I love having a clean house it always makes me feel so much better. Around noon RC Willey came and fixed my nightstand and my husbands brother and his wife stopped by on their way home. He's been at basic training and Ait (he is in the National Guard)for several months and had gotten home the night before. They talked for a long time about basic training and Ait (my husband also is in the National Guard)they compared their experiences and how different things have changed since my husband got home a year ago. It was fun to listen to but also kind of boring at the same time. After they left we ate the roast that had been in the crock pot all day and had ranch roast potatoes with it. It smelled and tasted soooo good!! I had a meeting at work in the evening and we had donuts from beyond the glaze. They are decorated and look really pretty! I had the german chocolate it tasted really good! My neice just had her 9th birthday so we went up to my sisters house and had a fun birthday party. The chocolate birthday cake and Ice cream was my favorite part :) if you can't tell i have food on the brain right now. Dinner is in the oven cooking and i'm starving. But it's almost done i just have to run and make a side dish and get some vegetables to go with it to make a full, healthy meal!
So that was my weekend, it was mostly just a lazy one but it was enjoyable!!

Welcome to my new blog!

Why I decided to name my blog the name it has. When I was in 5th grade my teacher Mr. C (that's what he had us call him) gave me and all of my friends nicknames! It was so fun! He even drew pictures to describe us and our nicknames. Sadly I no longer know where my picture is that he drew. I will have to go to my parents house and see if it is there somewhere in my box of memories. My nickname was Googenheimer at the beginning. Well as time went on everyone including Mr. C. kept shortening it. My nickname ended up being Googie. My 5th grade year was the year that all of my friends and I became really good friends! We've been able to stay friends throughout the years. During Middle School and High School we met and made new friends and added them to our group of friends! There were about ten to twelve of us girls that always hung out. We would usually hang out in littler groups also. I moved away the summer before our Junior year, now we are all married with kids (well I don't have any yet more on that later) we still get together and have lunch or dinner and chit chat about the good ole days!
We are able to know what everyone is up to because of facebook and blogging! When I moved away I was able to make another group of awesome friends and I am still great friends with them!! We get together frequently and some of us are in a bunco group together. I do have to say I have won several times and love it!
So that is how I got my nickname googie. My 5th grade teacher was just having some fun with a group of girls and the nicknames stuck. I'm 26 years old and will still have some of my old friends from school call me googie.

an euphonious is for life, not just xmas!
