New recipes

So this past month I have been trying new recipes! We were getting bored with the same old stuff, I guess I had gotten comfortable cooking what I knew would turn out and tast good. I have been getting my recipes from campbellsoup.com and so far what we have tried has been really great. There have been maybe a couple that we didn't love. Tonight I made Pennsylvania Dutch Ham & Noodle Casserole I messed up the recipe even though I read it over and over again. Well I read some of the reviews and a lady had said she added milk to make it a little better so I added milk to see if I could save it. I really didn't want to have to throw out all that food. Well I saved it, it was eatable (I think that's a word) Jeb said he really liked it (it had extra sharp cheddar cheese in it, his favorite). I didn't like it as much as he did. So I ate a little bit and tried to enjoy it but couldn't, so I made a peanut and jelly sandwhich for myself! One of our favorites is there cheesy chicken enchiladas! They are so good!! The recipe makes enough for us to eat for like 3 days. Which is good because Jeb LOVES them and will take them to work for lunch. He loves that I am trying all these new recipes which is good because he is willing to try them all and decide if they are good enough to make again!
I've decided that I'm going to post about these new recipes we are trying and report how we liked them and what I added to make them tastier or if I just followed the recipe to a T.
Last sunday we blessed Ahnika, it was such a beautiful blessing and she looked beautiful in her blessing dress, her dress is so pretty! She laughed during the whole blessing it was so adorable. Yes yes I know I have the most adorable baby!! ;) I'm a proud mama, I know!
Well goodbye for now, I will let you know how tomorrows receipe goes!
Oh and I have been making a meal calendar so we know what we are having for the week. It really helps me when I go grocery shopping and when I need to start making dinner I don't have to stand in the pantry wondering what on earth I should cook!

  2. I love menu planning! It saves me time and money. I like the food nanny idea for making a plan it helped me when I have to pick out what we are going to eat.
