What's been happening...
Life has been good! I mean there are always ups and downs but for the most part everything has been good!! Ahnika turned 9 months and is so much fun and of course so adorable!! I have really been enjoying my new jewelry business. I've been keeping busy with parties and getting the word out about this awesome company!! It really is a great opportunity and I'm so glad I'm a consultant for this awesome company and that i've been able to share it with others and do parties ect!! The jewelry is so affordable everyone has been loving it! They have a great compensation plan too! Anyway we've been having an enjoyable summer! Tomorrow Ahnika and I are going swimming with my sister and her kids and my mom! It will be Ahnika's first time! She loves being in the tub so she is going to have so much fun! My sister in-law is going to have her baby anyday. We are waiting patiently to meet their little girl! It will be Ahnika's first cousin on the Ingram side. On the Tanner side she has 10 cousins.
I don't know if anyone even reads this blog anymore. I've considered just focusing on my private blog and I started a new Jewelry blog too. But I may just keep it and make a post every now and then. Who knows!!
I hope everyone is having a great summer!

Suggestions please...
So Ahnika was eating solid foods pretty well for awhile but recently has decided not to eat. She will eat the little gerber puffs and cookies (the heathly treats) and she loves chewing on apples, carrots and celery but she won't let me feed her the baby food. Well she will still eat green beans but everything else she will just turn her head and clamp her mouth shut. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her interested in eating baby food again like rice cereal. She hasn't been sleeping great anymore either and I think it is because she quit eating her baby food. I think she is getting hungry at night so she is waking up where she used to sleep 10 to 12 hours a night.

Party Day!!
Today was quite the eventful day! Ahnika hasn't been sleeping that great these past few weeks :( I'm not sure why. It may be seperation anxiety or something like that. She had been sleeping 10 hour nights since she was 10 weeks and now all of a sudden not sleeping through the night is rough on me. I love being able to cuddle with her and I know it won't last long, she is growing way too fast, but in the middle of the night it's hard to be excited about being awake. Anyway so last night we had a rough night, this morning she got up at 8 and then we got ready for the day and around 10:30 we headed to the store to get some salad and headed up to my brother and sister in-law's home! We had a combined birthday party for Missy who's b-day was the 7th and Siri's who's b-day is today and my b-day which is the 21st! I'm going to be 28, I can't believe it. So we had lunch around noon and then opened presents. I had to leave the party a little early which I felt bad about. (sorry family) I ran up to SLC to the Paparazzi boutique, I thought I would be able to just run in and get the things I was planning on getting and head home. Boy was I wrong. It was so crazy, there were lots of people there just as excited about this company and their product as I was. They had a seperate room for consultants to buy the jewelry they needed and a huge room set up for customers. It was a great turn out! I took Ahnika with me because of certain circumstances and because it was so crazy I was having a hard time pushing her around in the stroller and finding what I wanted. My awesome friend Ashley and her husband Mike watched her for me, while I quickly shopped and checked out! The check out line was so long and I thought I'd never make it out, but they let me go to another room where they were checking out a few people. Ashley told them I was there with my baby and they said it would be perfectly fine for me to go in there. They are so awesome!!
I finally made it home an hour later than planner :( but I got to spend some time with my hubby before he had to go. Ahnika was soooo excited to see him and play with him!!
I am seriously so excited to be working with/for the Paparazzi Jewelry company!! Their Jewelry and hair accessories are so cute and they keep coming out with tons of new fun stuff! I know I've said this in other posts but seriously now is the time to sign up and be a consultant!! The company just launch not to long ago and is growing quickly. If you start now you will be starting out with them while they are still small and can really make this into a great career and income. A friend of mine just signed up in Illinois and I talked to coorporate and she is the first person in the whole state to start selling. Wow. She is going to do awesome! I have never been a great sales person and i'm still not, but with this jewelry I don't have to sell it. I've just told friends about it on facebook and those that live around me and had an open house. From there I have been able to get lots of business and people wanting to do parties! If you don't like doing parties and such you don't have to just by telling people you are selling it and that it is only $5 they will come to you!!
I don't know who reads my blog but if this interests you at all leave me your email (even if I don't know who you are I'd be happy to talk to you) and I will send you more information about becoming a consultant!!!
Don't wait!! You will have so much fun with this company.

My life...
So today I was thinking about how my life revolves around my sweet baby girl and husband. I don't think it is a bad thing at all. Before I got pregnant I thought to myself that I wasn't going to be the mom that only blogs or talks about her baby. Well I am that mom I love my little girl so much and am just amazed by her. She is learning so much everyday and progressing so quickly. She is a doll and most of the time is so happy. When she is having a freak out about being tired or hungry it usually doesn't last too long and in the midst of her being upset you can usually get her to laugh a little or smile. She is my world right now and I'm not complaining. We have lots of fun together throughout the day and when daddy gets home she is so excited to see him. (Sometimes she can't wait to see him, she is tired of just seeing me) She loves to roll and is getting lots better at sitting on her own. I think once she learns to crawl (which may be soon) she isn't going to stop moving. She will always be on the go and probably get into everything. I like to call her curious George! Jeb absolutely adores her and loves the time he gets to spend with her. I'm grateful I can breastfeed, I really enjoy that bonding time and formula is so pricey. We do feed her a bottle of formula at bedtime so that if we ever need to leave her we can but also the formula helps her stay fuller longer. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 3 months and I love it! We went to Green river and Nephi on Easter weekend and she got off her schedule and didn't sleep very well for about a week. It was rough but she did go right back to bed after she ate so it wasn't too bad. She is now back on her schedule and I can tell she is happier if she gets her full 10 to 11 hour nights rest!!
I do get out of the house. I go visit my parents and my sisters. My neighbors who are my friends will go for walks when it's warm and we have a little play yard in the neighborhood that we will hang out at and watch the kids play. I used to go to bunco once a month but it was a little rough since she breastfeeds and is quite attached to her mommy. Jeb has been feeding her a bottle since she was 3 weeks but she still likes me to be home when she is going to bed. I'm sure there are people that would say I need to just leave more often at night so she gets used to me being gone and such but I figure when she is done breastfeeding it will be a lot easier to let daddy do bed time alone once in a while. Fridays I get to go grocery shopping by myself! I know fun right ;) Friday is daddy's day to hang out with Ahnika without mommy. It is nice to get out alone and not have to worry about hauling her around in the car seat. The car seat is so heavy.
So all in all life is great right now. I love my family and am glad I have them, I am grateful for the trials we've gone through and are facing, even though at the time I really don't like whatever the problem is. It teaches me to be patient and grateful for those around me and what I have.

How was your Mother's Day?
How was your Mother's Day weekend?? What did you do? Did your family spoil you, did you spoil your Mom?? I felt spoiled!! Saturday we went and spent the day at my Mom and Dad's house, all of my siblings and their families came over as well. My oldest sister wasn't able to make it though. The creek that is down by their house was really high, you could hear the rocks being pushed down the creek and the water roaring, it looked like a river. You could hear it from my parent's house which isn't right next door to the creek. Sunday we went to Jeb's parent's house and had dinner and celebrated Mother's day with them. Sunday morning Ahnika let me sleep in until 7:00! Usually she sleeps from around 8pm to 6 or 6:30am so it was nice to sleep in a little bit! After she ate and played with us for a bit she went back to sleep and Jeb got up and made me breakfast!! It was yummy!
It is such an honor to be a mother! I am so grateful for my little girl, she is such a joy in my life! I am so glad that I have been able to stay home with her! I would do anything for her. Before I got pregnant and while I was pregnant I knew I would love my children, I knew it would be fun to be a mommy! But I had no idea how much I would/could love my child. It is crazy how intense you can love someone you've barely met! There were nights when I hardly got any sleep and I felt like I wanted to give up that I couldn't take it anymore and then she would give me one of her cute little smiles and my heart would melt and I knew it would all be okay. I would be able to take a nap the next day and loosing a few hours of sleep every night for a few months wouldn't kill me. I love to sleep so it was difficult, but I did enjoy holding my sweet baby in the middle of the night, she is extra cuddly when she is sleepy. Being a mom and knowing all of the joy and sadness that comes with it makes me really grateful for my mom!! I'm not the perfect daughter that I wish I was, but I have been trying harder to show my mom how much I do appreciate her since I've become a mom. I love my mom tons and hope she knows that and I hope that when Ahnika is an adult she will still love me and appreciate what I do for her. I have wanted be great at many things but out of all of them I really want to be a great Mom. I know I will never be perfect at it and I'm sure I will and already have made mistakes but I hope when I look back at my life, after my babies are all grown up, that I can feel a peace and know that I did a good job!
I hope all of you mother's out in the world had an enjoyable Mother's day!

New Recipe
Last week I tried a few new recipe's and really like them. I got two from Campbell's soup website: go here and the other one from a friends blog: here. We really enjoyed these Quick Barbecued Beef Sandwiches, some of the reviews said to add cheese and they taste like an Arby's sandwich. So next time I make them I'm going to add cheese. I was a little worried about what they were going to taste like but was pleasantly surprised. They were really tasty and really quick and easy to make!!
The other recipe I tried was Penne with Asparagus. The first time I made it I somehow missed an important direction (I didn't cut the asparagus in 1 in. pieces oops) and I didn't have any cherry tomatoes. So I made it this week and made sure to follow the directions and add the tomatoes and It was very good we really liked it. We liked it the first time I made it but it was definitely better the second time around. Oh and I used whole grain pasta. We are trying to eat healthier, which I'm finding is slightly difficult since I have a sweet tooth. One day I will achieve my goal! :) I also made goulash, I haven't had it since I was a kid so I wasn't sure if it tasted the same as I remember it tasting. It was good and very filling. I got the goulash recipe from Campbell's soup and also looked at a few other goulash recipes and kind of combined a few of the recipe ingredients. Anyway I thought I would share these great recipes with all of you who read my blog. If you make them I hope you enjoy! Check out those websites they have great recipes!

Something something something cast the first stone.
I had a thought today, scary at best, but a thought none the less. It hit me while I was on my way home from work. There is at least one song, movie, book, ect that a man or woman loves to listen to, watch, read, ect in private but completely denounces it in front of another living soul.
I've known my movie (Pretty Woman) for a long time and in the past I would watch it alone frequently. Tonight I found my song. I never thought I would like a song from the daughter of the mullet wearing achy-breaky-heart redneck himself. For those who don't know I'm talking about Miley Cyrus (Party in the USA).
Poke fun, call me names, do what ever you want but only after you think if you have a song, movie, book, ect that you are ashamed of. You know you have one! Everyone has one! EVERYONE! I hope everyone can publicly admit their secret little pleasure. It is quite liberating. And if you cant, something something something cast the first stone! :D

Fuzzi bunz
Yesterday was our first day using our fuzzi bunz cloth diapers! Every other diaper change I used a cloth diaper, and I was at my parents house so I didn't want to have to haul around the messy cloth diapers since I don't have a wet bag for them yet. She didn't seem to mind the change and they seem to fit pretty good. We only had one blow out, so I cinched up the side elastic to make them a little more snug. They are such cute diapers, I hope they work out I am excited to use them and hopefully save money on diapers and creams for rashes. She hasn't hadn't any rashes yet thank goodness hopefully she never gets one! I will post a picture of her in her cute little fuzzi bunz diaper as soon as I upload it to my computer but if you would like to check them out I bought them at kellyscloset.com, or you can just google fuzzi bunz. They are really nice and at kelly's closet you can get free shipping and I can always find a coupon code to get them a little cheaper! Anyway I will keep you all updated on how our cloth diaper adventure goes. So far so good, we are out of her disposable diapers that fit her so we will be doing just cloth diapers from here on out. Unless I hate it, then I will go buy more diapers and keep these as "food storage" not literally food but in case there is ever some major catastrophe and we can't get diapers.

3 Cheese pasta bake...
That is what we tried tonight. It was actually pretty good. I added a few extra things like salt, ham cut up and mozarella cheese. It was pretty tasty, it wasn't amazing but it was good. Here is the recipe:
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
1 package (8 ounces) shredded two-cheese blend (about 2 cups)
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 cups corkscrew-shaped pasta, cooked and drained (about 4 cups)
1.Stir the soup, cheeses, milk and black pepper in a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Stir in the pasta.
2.Bake at 400°F. for 20 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
Jeb said he liked it and I did to so it was a success! I'm excited for some of the recipes for next week they sound really tasty! Sunday we are having a repeat recipe, it is Slow-Cooked Apricot Glazed Pork Roast it was so good! Yum
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Chicken Broth
1 jar (18 ounces) apricot preserves
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
2 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
1 boneless pork loin roast (about 4 pounds)
1.Stir the broth, preserves, onion and mustard in a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker. Add the pork to the cooker, trimming to fit, if needed, and turn to coat.
2.Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or until the pork is fork-tender.
So good I recommend it!
By the way I'm not turning this blog into a recipe blog or cooking blog I'm just sharing my adventures with these new recipes. I've never felt like a great cook and it has been really fun making new recipes and have them turn out well! I enjoy being a stay at home mom, I feel like I have more time to focus on making dinner and cleaning the house and other stuff. I don't feel like I'm hurrying home from work to throw something together real quick (not that there is anything wrong with that). That's what I used to do, I wouldn't really plan out what to make so we usually ate alot of repeat stuff!

New recipes
So this past month I have been trying new recipes! We were getting bored with the same old stuff, I guess I had gotten comfortable cooking what I knew would turn out and tast good. I have been getting my recipes from campbellsoup.com and so far what we have tried has been really great. There have been maybe a couple that we didn't love. Tonight I made Pennsylvania Dutch Ham & Noodle Casserole I messed up the recipe even though I read it over and over again. Well I read some of the reviews and a lady had said she added milk to make it a little better so I added milk to see if I could save it. I really didn't want to have to throw out all that food. Well I saved it, it was eatable (I think that's a word) Jeb said he really liked it (it had extra sharp cheddar cheese in it, his favorite). I didn't like it as much as he did. So I ate a little bit and tried to enjoy it but couldn't, so I made a peanut and jelly sandwhich for myself! One of our favorites is there cheesy chicken enchiladas! They are so good!! The recipe makes enough for us to eat for like 3 days. Which is good because Jeb LOVES them and will take them to work for lunch. He loves that I am trying all these new recipes which is good because he is willing to try them all and decide if they are good enough to make again!
I've decided that I'm going to post about these new recipes we are trying and report how we liked them and what I added to make them tastier or if I just followed the recipe to a T.
Last sunday we blessed Ahnika, it was such a beautiful blessing and she looked beautiful in her blessing dress, her dress is so pretty! She laughed during the whole blessing it was so adorable. Yes yes I know I have the most adorable baby!! ;) I'm a proud mama, I know!
Well goodbye for now, I will let you know how tomorrows receipe goes!
Oh and I have been making a meal calendar so we know what we are having for the week. It really helps me when I go grocery shopping and when I need to start making dinner I don't have to stand in the pantry wondering what on earth I should cook!

I found this interesting...
http://www.salon.com/life/internet_culture/?story=%2Fmwt%2Ffeature%2F2011%2F01%2F15%2Ffeminist_obsessed_with_mormon_blogs
I found this article interesting. I guess I am one of those housewife bloggers. Lol! I don't think I make my life sound picture perfect though. Usually I just put on my other blog the different activities we as a family do, so it probably does sound like everything is so wonderful and life is perfect but life isn't always exciting and wonderful but who wants to read about someone elses woes, life is hard enough. Well I guess sometimes it is good to read about other peoples problems because it makes me realize the problems I'm facing aren't that bad. I am happy to be a stay at home mom, I have to let my boss know if I am coming back to work or not, I'm supposed to let them know today or as soon as possible. I really really want to stay at home and be with my baby but then I worry maybe I should go back to work. For now I'm planning on staying at home.
Wow look at me, two posts in one day!!

Frustrations of a breastfeeding mom.
I am breastfeeding my beautiful baby girl, who is such a good baby and I am so glad she is mine! I just love her to pieces. She is so much fun! So about my frustration... for the first 8 weeks Ahnika breast fed like a champ. But then for some reason she started only eating from one breast during a feeding and it didn't matter how hard I tried she wouldn't eat from the other breast. And she would get mad and freak out if I tried to get her to eat more. :( I would have to alternate breasts and be lopsided for the next few hours until she ate again. But at night if I was lucky I could get her to eat on both breasts and have a full feeding, which makes me happy when she does that cause it means she will sleep longer. Well this past week she has been fighting me and refusing to eat at all ugh. So I would think well maybe she isn't quite hungry enough to eat yet, then I would lay her down and she would act hungry and cry. So we would try the whole process again. But she would still fight me even though she was hungry. Finally she would latch on after I pretty much shoved my boob down her throat. Sorry that sounds awful. Anyway after she latched on she would relax and eat and I could get her to eat on both breasts. But each time she wanted to eat it was the same thing a big traumatic experience.
One night I just broke down and bawled because I felt rejected by my own child and it was like 3 in the morning so I was really tired. After I calmed down and was determined to get her to eat she latched on and then went back to bed. A few times when Jeb was home he would hold her head still so I could get my breast to her mouth and then she would finally latch on and realize that she did want to eat and start eating. Well after having Jeb hold her head a couple of times she started latching on by herself with out needing to be fought with. I don't think she liked him holding her head. Which I felt bad that we had to do that, he didn't hold her head real hard just enough that I could get her to latch on. I need 3 hands sometimes. I promise we aren't being mean parents, we are just trying to get her to eat. It's been about a week or so of this going on, But yesterday and today have been much better. She has actually been latching on without a fight, sometimes I can get her to eat on both sides without a problem but other times she refuses, so instead of fighting I figure she must have eaten enough. I have read that a baby can get a full feeding from one breast but it's important to offer both breast at each feeding. So that's what I do even if she refuses to eat more.
I am just glad she is over refusing to eat at all (at least I hope she is over it), I want to breastfeed her for at least a year. Jeb keeps telling me I'm doing a wonderful job, that I am a great mother and not to get frustrated. He is such a good husband, and I believe what he says but sometimes it is so hard not to get frustrated. Sometimes I would like to just give up and feed her a bottle, but I really don't want to give up yet she is only 3 well almost 4 months and I would really like her to receive breast milk a little longer. I hope this all makes sense. I feel like I've just been rambling.
If anyone has any suggestions/advice about breastfeeding I would love to hear it. Motherhood is so rewarding and I am so grateful for this opportunity I love my little girl so much! As I type she is laying by me falling asleep, she is so precious!!

New Year's Resolution!
So I was talking to Jeb about how I have been really lazy with this blog, so I am going to start updating it more often. My private blog is going to be about my family and be our family journal and this blog is going to be about other stuff. I'm not quite sure what exactly but I want to keep this blog up and I'm sure occasionally I will update about my family but it most likely will be about other things. Who knows i'm still trying to decide!! It may be about random things but hopefully it will be interesting to someone! I wish I was a more creative writer, so hopefully throughout the year I can learn to become a creative writer and just a better writer all together. Anyway I will think of some good things to write about and start updating this blog!
